He is the youngest driver to ever qualify on pole, lead, and win a Formula 1 Grand Prix, and he is barely in his 20s - an achievement which has earned him a permanent tribute at the infamous Nurburgring.

'Vettel corner' will be located on a corner of the Grand Prix circuit, which adjoins and connects to the Nordschleife 'ring.

His turn is number six of the GP track - six-time F1 champ Michael Schumacher's name adorns turns nine and 10.

"This is a big honour," said Vettel of the decision.
