NO MORE than 10 Lexus LFAs were delivered to Australia in 2011 (and not all of those found their way to private customers), but an example of one of the greatest sounding cars ever created is up for sale locally.

Adding this Japanese supercar to your garage won’t come cheap though, with the asking price for this example currently sitting at $1,075,000.

Registered in QLD, the car hasn’t been a garage queen either, with the odometer reportedly reading 26,426km.

Wearing Whitest White exterior paint matched to a red leather interior, the vehicle looking for a new home is number 177 of the 500 built worldwide.

While the hyperbolic car has many accolades to its name, the LFA’s cult-hero status has to be partly in thanks to the engine, which is an engineering masterpiece.

The 4.8-litre naturally-aspirated V10 was developed by Lexus in conjunction with Yamaha, and is considered to be one of the best sounding engines to ever find its way into a production vehicle.

Peak power of 412kW arrives at a screaming 8700rpm, at which point your soul has probably long been exorcised by the monsters lurking in the exhaust. Torque tops out at 480Nm at a comparatively measly 6800rpm. Redline? Well that’d be 9500rpm.

Just 10 LFAs were delivered to Australia when the car was launched in 2011 however, not all of those have been sold to customers, with Wheels aware of at least one dealership which held onto the LFA as a showroom centrepiece.

That means the new owner of this LFA will join an owners club in the single-digits. Oh, but what a club to be a part of.
