According to the NHTSA road safety bureaucrats, if the right front seat somehow becomes, ahem, wet in certain 2012-built Bugs fitted with leather upholstery, the airbag-off sensor that normally detects a child seat may fail, deploying an airbag in an accident and potentially seriously harming your pride ‘n joy.
