Dictators and their cars

Ever wondered what car Hitler drove? Us neither, until that is, we discovered he drove a heavily modified Mercedes Grosse 770.

Currently on display at the Canadian War Museum, the car you see here was delivered to Hitler’s staff in 1940.

So what kind of modifications did Hitler make? Well aside from the usual armoured doors and bullet-proof glass, this limo also boasts an armoured plate that can be raised behind the rear passengers and some custom storage compartments to house pistols.

Nice. But as cool as this Merc is, it got us thinking – what type of cars do the world’s other dictators driver?
