Where have all the Daihatsus gone? Well the Japanese brand has ceased importing most of its cars around the world because the strength of the yen has made it utterly uneconomical. Daihatsu Australia closed its doors in 2005 and Europe-wide sales are less than 20,000 cars per year, so Daihatsu says it's withdrawing from all European markets by 2013. Daihatsu still lives on in Japan but you and I will never be able to buy another Charade, Sirion or Terios. But then we never did, did we?
