Hyundai is riding high at the moment - it made more cars in 2011 than General Motors. But its big cars have never been sold in Europe because of Hyundai's lowly perceived status. However, the latest Genesis Coupe has the sort of pizzazz that we can see very much appealing to Europeans. It's got rear-wheel drive, limited-slip diff and Brembo brakes, plus either a turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 154kW, or a 3.8-litre V6 with 225kW, which can do 0-100km/hmph in just 5.4 seconds. Come on, Hyundai, live up to your global ambitions and make a right-hooker!
