About the archive

Wheels first hit the newsstands in May 1953, and we've been living, breathing, driving and reviewing cars ever since.

But, until now, there was no way you could find out what Wheels said about the original 1978 VB Commodore, or read Robbo's first test of the iconic Ford Falcon GTHO, or ride shotgun when we became the first magazine to crash a Lamborghini Diablo.

And that's just a small sample of the incredible experiences we've had in cars, and shared with our readers.

Until now, there's been no way for you to go back in time and enjoy them all over again.

Now, there is!

We've gone ahead and digitised our entire magazine archive. Register today to access 25+ years’ worth of Wheels stories, with more on its way!

We’ve also asked our writers (past & present) to recommend favorite stories from the past, and those selections will be featured on the site, in the Wheels newsletter and on social media.

The Archive Index will provide you with an overview of each edition's contents, simply click on any of the article titles to view in its original form within the archive.

And we won't stop there. Sometime in the future, we'll make the complete history available, but until then…

Don't wait. Start browsing, it's free.
