Sebastian Vettel has fired a personal shot at Mark Webber, saying the Australian “didn’t deserve” to win the Malaysian Grand Prix and he’d happily ignore team orders again in the future.

Far from apologising for ignoring team instructions and passing Webber to take the win in Malaysia three weeks ago, Vettel told the media in China he’s felt let down by the Australian in the past.

“I think being completely honest, I never had support from his side,” said Vettel. “Had I understood the message and had I thought about it, reflected on it, think what the team wanted to do, to leave Mark in first place and me finishing second, I think I would have thought about it and I probably would have done the same thing.

“He didn’t deserve it.”

Vettel reiterated he apologised to the team for disobeying their instructions, but said he felt no remorse for passing Webber.

“I have a lot of support from the team and the team has supported both of us the same way,” he said. “But in terms of relationship to Mark, I respect him a lot as a racing driver, but I think there was more than on occasion in the past where he could have helped the team and he didn’t.”

When pressed by the media, Vettel even admitted his pass in Malaysia could be viewed as an act of revenge.

“You could say indirectly so,” said Vettel.

Further proving Vettel’s power within the Red Bull team, Vettel laughed off suggestions he should be sanctioned for his insolence and weakening the position of team principal Christian Horner.

“Sanction as in punishment?” he laughed. “Maybe it is a little bit of a dreamland that you all live in, but what do you expect to happen? Make a suggestion!”

Despite Vettel’s sensation comments, Webber insists it’s time to move on and confirmed he would continue racing until the end of 2013.

“Definitely I am keen to finish the season,” he said. “A lot of people were questioning it, but it was not something on my mind.

"I am keen to race this year, and put together a strong campaign. Year by year, I come to the summer and I will speak to Dietrich [Mateschitz] and we will go from there.

"I have never made decisions in my career at this point of the season and I don't see why I should make any decisions now about the future."
